The Rhythm Express return with a classic homage to New Orleans’s great Allen Toussaint “Hercules.” Originally recorded with the sweet voice of Aaron Neville and the Meters rhythm section in 1973, Toronto’s Rhythm Express goes a step farther incorporating reggae styling’s – both keyboards and guitar. “Hercules” tells the story of a street-wise kid trying to steer clear of trouble. He tells himself over and over again “I must be Hercules.” He needs be to survive the daily grind, the pimps and drug lords.
