The 10th annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Asbury Park Boardwalk lights up The Grand Arcade within legendary Asbury Park Convention Hall on Saturday, 25 November 2017. Doors open at 6pm. The show begins at 7pm. Please note, space is limited and subject to capacity. Please arrive early to ensure you admission.
As always, Santa will be spreading holiday cheer, and the festivities will be hosted by local radio legend Rich Robinson of 90.5FM The Night. Kristian Rex and The St. Nicks will be performing selections from the Beach Boys legendary Christmas catalog, taking a look back to The Beach Boys 1966 performance at Convention Hall. Nashville-via-Neptune-City’s very own Nicole Atkins joins the performance, before performing at Wonder Bar later in the evening. Kicking off the festivities will be the “Holiday Beach” sounds of Uke and Drum, and DJ Foggy Notion returns to spin Christmas classics.
This year’s tree lighting also features the Asbury Park Bazaar, located inside Convention Hall and open until 10pm. Start your holiday shopping with dozens of specialty vendors offering unique gift ideas you won’t find at the mall. After the ceremony, be sure to get your complimentary hot chocolate inside Convention Hall (while supplies last) as a special treat.
